When Damien first attended St.Francis he had to maintain a 3.5 GPA, when he switched to Richmond High he was required to maintain a 3.7 GPA. Do your parents expect you to do well in school? If you dont are there consequences?
My parents expect the best out of me. They are happy with the grades that i get. I try my best to get good grades. If i get and F or something low then yeah i will get grounded until i get it up, But its nothing to serious.
My parents always want me to do my best.. They know I care about my grades and they want me to care. Living up to my sisters is almost what they want me to do. I don't feel pressured in that way but I do know that they want me to do as well, if not better than what they did. If I stop caring about my grades my parents wouldn't so much punish me, they would just be disappointed in me which is the worst punishment there is from my parents.
Yes, my parents expect me to do well in school. They expect my best. But if I don’t do well, I don’t get punished, because (believe it or not) I’m the smart one in the family. My brother and sister did way worse on grades then I would even think about.
Yes, my parents expect me to keep my grades up. They expect it because they know I'm capable of keeping my grades high. I'm almost positive my parents would punish me if my grades got low enough, but it's never happened and I hope it never does.
Surprisingly I am harder on myself with keeping my grades up than my parents are. My parents expect me to try my best with whatever is given to me. Because my grades have never been bad I do not know how my parents would react but i believe they would just tell me to do my best and try harder next time.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Timo Cruz (Coach Carter)

ReplyDeleteYes they expect me to. I don't get grounded or anything, but I get a very long speech about it. Like 5 to 10 minutes and then maybe a fight.
